Primary School Program
Project Numbat has developed a comprehensive education program for lower and upper primary school students. The program focuses on the Numbat and other Australian native animals. The program is a useful resource for teachers which instils in their students a thorough understanding of our State mammal emblem and engenders a love of this special marsupial.
Teachers can use the detailed lesson plan provided to deliver the presentation component themselves or request for a Project Numbat volunteer to visit the school, deliver the presentation and interact in person with the student group. The resource package includes a variety of cross-curricular tasks for use before and after the presentation and ensures key learning concepts are developed over a range of varied learning experiences.
The package includes:
A PowerPoint Presentation
Detailed Lesson Plan
Numbat Fact Sheet
Before Presentation Activities
After Presentation Activities
Printable Resources
